Situation of the Human Rights in the North Caucasus (Russia)
Russia is a signatory of several international Human Rights treaties and is a member of the Council of Europe, therefore a signatory of the European Convention on Human Rights. Moreover, its constitution guarantees the Human Rights of Russian citizens and the Rights of the National minorities living in the territory of Russian Federation. However, the Human Rights situation in Russia is increasingly difficult. Russia, with Turkey and Italy are the most countries which have been condemned by International jurisdictions, according to statistics and different NGO’s reports.
