THE US CORRUPTION-HUNTING MODEL

Due to its dramatic effects, corruption is considered an important agenda in almost every country. The main problem in this regard: “How” should this important task, namely the effective fight against corruption, be done? The US corruption-hunting model provides a partial answer to the problem of how to fight corruption. This model allows individuals with knowledge and evidence of corruption that harms the US Federal Government to bring a civil action on behalf of the Government and the public. The corruption-hunting model is an important tool in the US Government's fight against corruption. It contributes to a more functional application of modern management concepts such as transparency and accountability. This model is a public-private partnership model that actively gets private individuals involved in the anti-corruption process. This study suggests using the corruption-hunting model, which has been operating in the USA for approximately 160 years, while constructing various mechanisms to combat corruption. In the analysis of the US corruption-hunting model, the reports of the relevant committees of the congress and academic studies discussing the development of the model, its importance and function in public administration were reviewed, and the structure and functioning of the model were examined within the framework of the legal provisions in force.
